Nothing Is Too Hard
"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
— Matthew 6:33, ESV
These words kept ringing in my ears: “Nothing is too hard for Me.” I could hear God pouring that truth into my spirit. Early in the morning, I sat quietly before Him, simply listening. Over and over, He impressed on my heart: “Tell the people I am their God, and nothing they are going through is too hard for Me.”
At the time, I was staying in an Airbnb because our home was undergoing some much-needed work. Earlier in the year, we had painted the outside of the house. My husband had mentioned several times that we also needed to paint the inside and replace the carpet. He would say, “We’ll have to move all the furniture out and stay somewhere else while they work on the inside and the floors.”
I agreed with him outwardly, but inside I thought, That sounds wonderful… but how would we ever afford that? It would be so expensive.
But then God moved.
He didn’t just make it happen — He exceeded our expectations. Every piece of furniture was moved out. The whole house was cleaned. Every wall inside — and even the garage — was painted. New floors were installed. And we stayed in Airbnbs the entire time.
We paid a $250 deductible to our insurance company and a small amount to upgrade the flooring. God took care of the rest.
We could never have foreseen the strategic, detailed way God’s hand would move — fulfilling, down to the letter, what my husband had said months earlier. I believe that when God plants something impossible in our spirit, He has already planned the way to accomplish it. He just needs us to agree with Him and seek His face for direction.
When God says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you,” He means it! Looking back, I realize God literally placed over $100,000 worth of work into our hands to accomplish what He had placed in my husband’s heart.
So listen — whatever God has placed in your spirit, whatever situation you are facing that seems impossible, you are right: it is impossible… for you. But it is never impossible for Him. As Jesus said:
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
— Matthew 19:26, ESV
