The Blessing
The Holy Spirit woke me up early in the morning with the song “The Blessing” on my heart. At the time I did not know that was the name of the song. I had heard the melody a few days earlier but didn’t know the words. This morning, I knew I needed to find out what the song was saying.
I love how God works. He never gives us everything at once but draws us closer and closer to Himself. He was starting a conversation with me, and He invited me to engage. The melody was the invitation. When I went to research the words, He started talking. I sat and let the melody He had put in my heart play over and over, and eventually a line of the song became clear. See, I was sitting listening to God, He was pouring out His blessing on me and I had no idea what He was doing. He is so good and loves us so much!
God is always giving us direction; He has a daily word for each of us. He is our commander! In prayer He tells us to ask for our daily bread. The bread is His Word, which gives us instructions and clarity on our assignment for the day. That morning I received encouragement and confidence in Him and in who I was in Him.
The song is written from multiple scriptures:
‘“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace”’ (Numbers 6:24-26).
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments” (Deuteronomy 7:9-10).
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged” (Deuteronomy 31:8).
And all who are in agreement with those words, we say amen!

But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me! Psalm 66:19-20, ESV
Hallelujah! Father my soul rejoices because you are so good! Thank you so much Jehovah for loving me! Thank you for just being the truly righteous, loving God! There is none like you! You are ELOHIM the creator of the world, everything belongs to you and yet you listen to my prayers! If it was not enough that you hear my cry, you attend to and take care of all of my concerns. You bring peace to my soul. You hear those words that I cannot articulate! You know my thoughts before a word was ever spoken; yet you are patient and you listen to me!
You even know my personal call. You do not confuse my pain, or my issues with anyone else’s. You know me and you love me with all of my faults! You died for every one of my sins before I was born! How can I ever say thank you, or give you enough praise? I surrender everything to you! Father, have your way with me. I am your vessel and I give you my yes! Thank you for this honor to serve you. Thank you for the honor to worship you. Thank you for allowing me to be right here in your presence. Thank you for taking time just for me. I love you with all I know! In Jesus’ name, amen.

Our Father in heaven, what an honor it is to serve you! Hallelujah! Hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. You alone are worthy of all praise, so I praise your name! To you be glory and praise. You bring restoration to them. You fill them with joy and gladness and your strength rests upon them. You are the answer! You are the way to every situation that we face. I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live. Deuteronomy 30:19, ESV
Adonai, To you be glory and praise! My soul worships you and praises your name! Because of what Yeshua did on the cross I have a choice. I can choose to live with you. I no longer have to live a life that leads to curses and eternal death. But I get the choice to choose life. You invited me, you hand selected me and brought me to you. Praise your holy name! Thank you for this moment of just sitting with you and saying, “Yes!” again. Yes to everything you ask, yes to laying down my will, yes to my soul being sold out to you. Yes to serving you with my whole heart, yes to loving you, my neighbors and praying for my enemies. I give you my yes!
Paris you holy name! My commitment is to you and no one else. I am sold out to you! Hallelujah Jesus! Thank you! Glory and praise be to your name. Oh magnify the lord with me, let us exalt his name together for he is worthy to be praised! Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the king of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle! Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory!

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and a self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7
Adonai! Hallelujah! I give you praise and I worship you! You have not withheld anything from me. You created me and you own me and I am yours. Every thought of mine you know and my soul belongs to you. You remember not my wrongs for they are covered by your blood. You have poured your righteousness into me. My righteousness is not because of my works, but because of what you did on the cross.
I am so grateful that you did not give me a spirit of fear and every time fear shows up in my life it is a reminder that this thing is not from you. Hallelujah! You have given me a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind. I thank you that my mind is sound. I thank you that I have your spirit. I thank you that your love dwells in me and all over me. Prayer for the Week
December 16
To you, Lord, I call. You are my Rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit. Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place. Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak cordially with their neighbors, but harbor malice in their hearts. Repay them for their deeds and for their evil work. Repay them for what their hands have done and bring back on them what they deserve.
Because they have no regard for the deeds of the Lord and what his hands have done, he will tear them down and never build them up again. Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever. Psalm 28, NIV

December 9
Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:12-13
ELOHIM,
Thank you for your plan from the beginning of time. Thank you that you love all that you created. Thank you for you knew the world would turn evil, but it has never changed your love. Scriptures says that you are Lord and you change not! I praise your Holy name! I praise you, God that even though I see evil all around me, you see the love you have placed inside each individual. I pray for transformation in my soul so that I can love as you have said.
You have given me the mind of Christ through the Holy Spirit, and I pray that as you work through me the unconditional love of you will flow uncontrollably so that all who encounter me will literally be standing before you. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9, AMP
Father,
I love that you are the same God with me that was with Joshua! The same words you gave to him when he was preparing to lead the people into the promise land are the same commands you have given to me today!
You are not just suggesting for me to not be afraid, you are commanding that I not fear anything that comes against me. You are assuring me that you are with me! I praise your holy name. My ever-present God Jehovah Shammah, you are here! You are with me! You are inside of me Immanuel! You were in the midst with Joshua and had already given them the promised land they were just required to walk with you and take what was theirs.
I thank you for everything that you promised me sits right before me. I give you glory and praise! I pray to walk in all the confidence, strength and power you have already poured inside of me. Father I pray that I will run like David did against Goliath to fulfill what you have laid before me.
Thank you that I am not alone and I can do all that you have instructed me to. I give you glory and praise in Jesus name amen.

Prayer of the Week
November 11
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God 1John 4:7, ESV
Dear Father,
Thank you that you have given me the example of love. You love me in ways that I could have never imagined. Daily you give me your grace and mercy. You died for all of my sins before I was ever born! You knew me before I even knew myself and loved me. Hallelujah! I am loved, protected and cared for by you! Hallelujah!
You have instructed me to love others the same way you have loved me. Father the desire of my heart is to follow all of your instructions. I know I can’t give this kind of love in my own strength, for I will fail every time. I seek to draw into this new dimension of love with you so that all I am is a walking spirit of love and when anyone encounters me they encounter you.
I know that the world is ripe for your love. The harvest is low hanging fruit desperately needing the only love that can heal the brokenness in their soul. I pray that my prejudices and self righteous judgment thoughts will be crushed. I pray to be completely transformed and changed so that the supernatural indwelling of you comes forward and that all the world encounters from me is you. In Jesus’ name amen.

Prayer of the Week
November 4
Today’s prayer is a prayer of thanks, taken from Psalm 136. I woke up one morning and God had this song in my head, “O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good.” I typed those words into my computer and Psalm 136 came up. The more I read the psalm, the more overjoyed my soul became!
There was a part of the scripture that I needed clarity. It spoke about God slaying the famous kings Sihon, king of the Amorites and Og, King of Bashan. In my study I found that Sihon king of the Amorites was very powerful and had taken the land from the Moabites. Remember the Moabites came from the lineage of Abraham’s nephew, Lot. This king had come and literally taken everything away from the Moabites. When Moses and the Israelites were on their way to the promise land they asked the King Sihon if they could pass peacefully through their land. King Sihon said no and came out with all of his army to defeat the Israelites. But God gave victory to the Israelites. This battle was so victorious that it was heard about in Jericho. Remember Rehab told the spies how the hearts of those in their city melted in fear of the Israelites when they heard about the victory of king of Sihon and king Og? Joshua 2:8-11 God gave the Israelites the same victory over the powerful king Og of Bashan! Look at how our God takes care of his own! Oh give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good!
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever: The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever: The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever.
To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy endureth for ever: And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever: With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy endureth for ever: And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for his mercy endureth for ever: But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him which led his people through the wilderness: for his mercy endureth for ever.
To him which smote great kings: for his mercy endureth for ever: And slew famous kings: for his mercy endureth for ever: Sihon king of the Amorites: for his mercy endureth for ever: And Og the king of Bashan: for his mercy endureth for ever: And gave their land for an heritage: for his mercy endureth for ever: Even an heritage unto Israel his servant: for his mercy endureth for ever. Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever: And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever. Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 136

Fragrant Gift
I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. Philippians 4:18, ESV
I was researching the internet on the subject of fragrant offerings. What brought me to this research was the words Paul used in the verse above when he said that the offering received from Epaphroditus was a “fragrant offering”. I felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit to look up why Paul would choose to use those words.
I found that the same word is used in Ephesians 5:1-2 to speak of the offering of Christ. “Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” I was beginning to understand that how we give from our heart and the sacrifices we make determines how our offerings go up before God. I also remembered that in the book of Leviticus there are scriptures describing sacrifices God required from the Israelites as a “pleasing aroma” to Him. Although none of those sacrifices could pay for sins, they served as a temporary covering.
I felt like the Holy Spirit prompted me to look up Epaphroditus. I found that Paul writes in Philippians 2:25-30, “I have thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, and your messenger and minister to my need, for he has been longing for you all and has been distressed because you heard that he was ill. Indeed he was ill, near to death. But God had mercy on him, and not only on him but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. I am the more eager to send him, therefore, that you may rejoice at seeing him again, and that I may be less anxious. So receive him in the Lord with all joy, and honor such men, for he nearly died for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was lacking in your service to me.” Epaphroditus’ offering was a fragrant aroma because of the self-sacrifice that he made to Paul. He cared more about serving Paul than bringing pleasure to his own life.
Finally, I was led to this article that gave another look at the sweet aroma of a gift to God: https://www.ccef.org/a-fragrant-offering/ I pray that it blesses you as it did me.
Father,
Thank you that you know the heart of man. Absolutely no thought can be hidden from you. I pray that our hearts will be transformed in such a way that in everything we do, every action we take, it is a sweet aroma pleasing to you. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

Transformed
Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 4:6, ESV
There was this song we used to sing in church… “Silver and gold, silver and gold, I’d rather have Jesus than silver and gold.” As a young child I had no idea what I was saying and sang the words without hesitation. As I became a young adult and we would sing that song in the choir, I would tell God, “I am not there yet. Nope, that is not how I feel. I would prefer silver and gold.”
I knew Jesus was good and I knew He had given me eternal life but because I missed the teaching on having a relationship with Jesus, I only knew Him through religion. Religion did not offer me much of anything except rules and repetition. It was not fun and to me, wealth and riches looked a whole lot better than what I was experiencing. I remember watching this show called the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and thinking, “Now they have the life!”
In my immature mind I did not realize that the show was only painting a picture of what they wanted me to believe, and I fell right into it. But praise God, at some point I started asking Jesus questions. I started to want to know Him in a deeper way. I started going to women’s conferences and really having a desire to seek His heart. Looking back, I now know it was the divine activation of the Holy Spirit that was prompting my heart to seek God in a different way. I was given the freedom to talk to Him about everything without trying to sound perfect or proper. Religion became a distance past, and I began an intimate relationship with God.
Let me just say this - I very much like silver and gold and I believe there is absolutely nothing wrong with having wealth, it just cannot be your god. Scriptures teaches, “You shall have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3). When I was young, silver and gold were becoming my god. It was years after this that I was sitting one day looking at some expensive vehicles and I heard God say, “You can have that one.” and immediately I said, “Not if it this item will cause me to be prideful and take the place of you!” Instantly the Holy Spirit reminded me of how I had changed from that young teenage girl. He showed how it was not through works that I had changed but by His Word and the renewing of my mind.
We can’t change ourselves into Christ-like servants of God, no matter how much we want to or how hard we try. Change and faith comes with hearing the Word of God and allowing it to transform the inside of our heart. If you want change in your heart, stop working to try and get it right.
Did you notice, I never tried to change my thoughts about wealth. I wanted to have a new heart, but I wanted wealth too. There was this war going on inside me, but the Holy Spirit sent me into the Word. The promptings in my heart led me to Him and He transformed me from the inside out. Do not be so hard on yourself about the thoughts you have inside. Give them to God. Stay under the Word and the power of His Word will transform you! Amen.
Holy Father,
Thank you for your grace, your patience, your kindness, your understanding, your mercy, and your love. We have this fleshly desire that is always going against you! I praise you because scripture tells us that change happens by the renewal of our mind in the Word of God! It is not by works, nor by power, but by your Spirit that we get transformed! To you be glory and praise. Amen!

Prayer of the Week
October 28
The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. Psalm 126:3
I received these three boxes of prayer cards and inside each boxes were 20 cards with scriptures on them to pray. God has been having me pull a card from the box and pray the scripture. This morning when I pulled the card the scripture above is what was written. My first thought after I read the scripture was how we can quickly forget all the amazing things God has done for us depending on our circumstances. Let’s pray…
Father, how I praise you! The scripture reminds me of how good and great you are! I realized that I can often take your blessings for granted and not see your greatness because my eyes are focused on what I don’t have, or what I want. Oh God I repent and ask for forgiveness. How good you have been to me! I am sitting right here in this moment and I can see, read and I have been chosen to know you. Wow! I was divinely designed by you for this moment! Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus! I praise you that you have called me to be your disciples and I get to intercede on behalf of others. God I lifted my voice in praise for the lost souls to be saved, for the hurting and sick to be healed, for those in need, to receive provision, but most of all for them to have this intimacy with you that you so desire to give to us all. Thank you God for being God and may I never forget to give you praise! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer of the Week
October 21
Oh magnify the Lord, for He is worthy to be praised. Oh magnify the Lord, for He is worthy to be praised. Hosanna blessed be the rock, blessed be the rock of my salvation. Hosanna blessed be the rock, blessed be the rock of my salvation.
One morning when I woke up the song above was in my spirit. I just sat and let the words settle in my spirit. As I began to hum them things started to change in my spirit. My soul was lifted, prayers started flowing out of my mouth, joy filled every part of me and God did what he wanted to do in me. I invite you to go back now and sing the words above out of your mouth. Let them flow until you can feel his presence shifting your atmosphere. Listen when you praise him; shifting happens. I don’t understand how it is done, but the movement of God happens in praise. Our prayer for today is “Magnify the Lord!” Amen.
