Prayer of the Week

Father,

There is a joy that rises up in my soul. I don’t quite know how to articulate it, but the gratitude for Your goodness is overwhelming. You walk me through all these difficult journeys just to show me who You are and how much You love me. You test me, and even in the testing, You reward me. You teach me how to have joy in the most difficult times, and You never leave me.

I heard our Bishop say that prayer is the most powerful gift we have. I love that I have the opportunity to sit with You and be in Your presence. I am in awe that You are the Creator of everything, and yet You sit and listen to me—and You talk to me. You are eager to develop a relationship with me and to teach me how deeply You love me. I am overwhelmed by Your love and Your goodness.

Thank You for being my God. Thank You for choosing me. Thank You for creating me and allowing me to be a part of Your plan. I praise You that You are my God and I am Your chosen vessel. Hallelujah! To You be glory and praise forever! Amen
