Prayer of the Week

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.
… Psalm 46:1–11, ESV

Papa, how I love You! Thank You for being my refuge and my hiding place. I praise You that I can rest in the storms and be at peace when trouble comes. You said that I would have trouble, but that You would be with me. When fear begins to approach my mind, please help me remember Your promises and shut down the lies of the enemy, because You are my protection, and no problem is greater than You. Thank You for teaching me how to give thanks and be at rest even in the most difficult times. I praise You, God—hallelujah! My dependence is on You. To You be glory and praise. Thank You for these special moments with You. Amen.

Affirmations: Matthew 10:20; Luke 24:32; Ephesians 6:19; Isaiah 55:11
